The Proton T-5 Hard Drive Degausser is the fastest and most effective degausser on the market today. Listed on the NSA/CSS Evaluated products list (NSA EPL-Degausser), the T-5 removes data from all magnetic devices, including Laptop, Desktop & Network Hard Drives, and LTO & DLT Tapes.
Operation is simple; Drop your magnetic media into the slot, then push the button. In 20 seconds of less, the Proton T-5 effectively and permanently destroys confidential and classified information. It un-aligns magnetic fields within the media material, ensuring that prior data retrieval is impossible. The Proton T-5 produces a magnetic field of at least 20,000 Gauss (2 Tesla) per cycle. The Proton T-5 Degausser features a digital cycle counter and an LCD status display. Its compact and portable design is perfect for desktop or floor use. The optional deployment case with wheels allows the T-5 to be transported and used remotely.
